Kenner is a city located in Jefferson Parish on the East Bank of the Mississippi River. Kenner is a suburb on the western edge of the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan area, and is the location of the city’s main airport, Louis Armstrong International Airport.
The town was originally called “Kennerville” and was founded in 1855 on land that had been a plantation belonging to Minor Kenner. |
