Ferrari Show
In
my adventures around the Big Easy and the Gulf coast I had
never run into the gem that is Longue Vue. An old school estate
located on the Metairie Golf Club course, it's used as a venue
for art shows and other cool stuff such as The Ferrari Show.
The house and grounds are exquisite and a perfect place to
park 100+ super cool cars. I took about 4 rolls of film, a
little video and a few digitals. It was pretty cloudy out
and I didn’t have any high speed film, so shooting was
rough --too bad. Located to our right is a yellow Enzo with
some of the other high-end machines in the courtyard.
As co-president of a struggling dotcom business, I can’t
even think about buying things like Ferraris. But what I learned
from Ferrari owners on my adventure is that some like to race
them and some like to keep them "cherry." No matter
what their MO, they were all pretty cool guys. This Ferrari
received my vote for favorite car. Due to technical difficulties
the interview with owner did not make it into web production.

About
5 years ago I bought a '86 Full Size Chevy Blazer with the
ever so popular 350 block. Out of being stubborn and poor
I have replaced just about everything attached to the engine
and have started to enjoy working on the old truck. Seeing
cars like these makes me want to step up the effort a little.
For anyone that needs a little motivation in life, 100 phat
Ferraries will do the trick every time. Located to the right
was one of many vintage roadsters lining the back yard of
Longue Vue on this cloudy Saturday afternoon.
One of my goals in life is to race cars. Ideally, I would
like a Formula One team, but those can be hard to come by.
I might have to settle for sprint cars. Anyway, the scoop
I got from another photographer was that the car to your left
was a shell car that they have at most of these shows and
it was without things like an engine. He did tell me that
the race car below was a rare site, an actual car Schumacher
drove in a race.

was nice enought to have two fabulous reps giving away free
