Katrina
Blog
Its been about
a year and a half since Katrina hit, and recovery is going
SLOW! But at least my street doesn't look like this anymore.
Our Street (Baronne) took about 3 feet of water and was the
last street to flood in Uptown. Life around us is somewhat
back to normal. For those in Lakeview, the Lower Ninth ward,
and other hard hit places, its truly a heartbreaking story.
Hurricane season is once again close, hopefully the new levies
are up for the challenge

It
has taken a while, lot of hammering, saws, bulldozers, the
stress of nothing working, the list goes on and on. But as
we venture bravely into a new hurricane seasons hope springs
eternal.

I don't think the staff will be riding out the next big one
out.
