Thursday
Night Fights at Twirope proved to be worthy of the hype, the staff arrived
a little late and didn't get to see the ladies fight, but the boxing was
better than I expected. Max Kellerman one said that you can't see the
damage of the punch watching boxing on TV like you can when you see it live. This being my first pro boxing match I
could see what he was talking about. I would defiantly put boxing up there
as one of the sports that must be see in person. While
the place was not filled to capacity the crowd was pretty decent. Ladies
night was not all that, but we did enter late. Twirope continued
to impress me as one of my favorite venues in NOLA. It was sort of a
tough sell trying to get some of my buddies out for this event, many
wanted to hear what it was like and said they might go next time. I know
I'll be back on the last Thursday of Feb for more of fight night.
Hopefully business will be good enough to sport me some ringside
action.
